Nude By Nature Kit!

Every since L got the the Priceline Exclusive Nude by Nature Kit, i've gone a little obsessed with their brand... without having used a single one of their products yet. Well the 2 brush kits i got i know are good quality for sure but i should really sit back and slap some of that stuff on before i hoard anymore from the brand.

I swear today is the last day i will be buying anymore of their stuff for a while! I remember checking out their website during the end of last month and they had a mother's day exclusive kit for $49.95. It was a super good offer and i had intentions to buy 2 kits to get the spend over $50 free shipping. However i held back because i was sure these kits would pop up in stores such as Priceline without the shipping fee.

During the time i held back i discovered Target also had their own version of the exclusive kit usually varying in 1-2 products. So i decided to not order online. The kits are labeled with only $49.95 with the purchase of any Nude product but no store seems to be following that rule.
Target this week started their 25% off all cosmetics and skincare sale. The first Target i went into use to be loaded with those kits, but have seemed to moved them out of the store now.
I had completely forgotten to check the first Target i was in today but was pretty sure i hadn't seen those kits there anyways. The 2nd Target i was at which use to not have a beauty section, had the boxes right at eye level near the registers. So as i was going to the checkouts i spotted them, and sadly my lack of self control purchased 3 kits! They came down to $37.50 per kit.

The kit contains:
24 hour anti-aging moisturizer
Eye & Face make up remover
Natural Mineral Eyeliner Brown
Undercover Airbrush primer
Anti-oxidant Foaming Cleanser
Soft focus Illuminator
Flawless Concealer Medium

As you can see the offer is pretty good considering the 24 hour anti-aging moisturizer is $29.95 on it's own and is a cream i'm most curious to try from their range.
I don't care too much for their make up, however the primer seems fun to try. I know for a fact and read previously that their concealer is absolute rubbish. I don't expect any coverage at all for this, nor for it to go on smoothly either.

Just found it on the Target website :) http://shop.target.com.au/nude-by-nature-natural-radiance-kit
$37.46 + $9 shipping is still cheaper than the original price! Gotta love Target for this. Priceline always excludes sales on sets and kits so this is the best price it gets! Time to play with my new goodies :)

Haul

I told myself numerous times before the Priceline hair goodie bag was out that i really didn't need hair products. However i had that awful itch to spend and decided that if i was going to shop, i would make the most of it and shop for what's on sale.
Alas the result of me ending up with 2 goodie bags. There was only 3 bags left at the first Priceline i was at. I had held back for quite a while so it was already pretty late in the sale. The bag did include a voucher to pick out your own free hair colour. So i decided to go pick that up while i was near another Priceline. And while i was in there i noticed they had ONE bag left... and i couldn't resist the temptation to snap it up. It was going to be sold out everywhere!
The bag was extremely full and heavy, needless to say my room is now more cramped than ever. I will use all the stuff i'm pretty sure of that. Shampoo is shampoo.

A few other things i've picked up as of late is the O.P.I shatter nail polishes from Priceline. I had a small chat with the girl at the register asking if this was a permanent arrangement for them. She said she believes it will only be the shatter range and it might only be a one time thing. At $10 per polish compared to the usual $20, i'm quite happy with that price. Although there are many small beauty stores that also apparently sell them for $10-$15. I would really prefer it to be a one time thing simply because i am not into nail polish and don't want to be tempted!

I found another L'oreal Silver Collection kit sitting randomly on a shelf and purchased it straight away. These have been sold out everywhere since they dropped from $39 to $15. I had purchased the kit with the brown eyeshadow but also really wanted the one with the cream eyeshadow as well. This should tame my need for more make up for a few days :)

Chemistwarehouse is also currently selling these Imperial Leather Foambursts for $2!
I think i last saw them around $6 in Coles. I was a little disappointed that when the gel came out it didn't explode into foam like i thought it would lol It foams up once you start spreading it onto your body which is nice as well. I picked up the yellow, purple and beige ones. The green and blue which i believe is lemongrass and a oceany scent just didn't seem tempting for me since its winter. I would prefer something warm and sweet like.

New Priceline sales start next week. I'm waiting for the email to arrive with the new catalogue, however i will be in bed for the next few days recovering from dental surgery so i may only be doing some online shopping for a while. Not that i wish to, just pray that i don't spend a cent the next few days while stuck at home :)

MD Visage Wrinkle Freeze Review Continued and Infusion RX

MD Visage Limited Edition Wrinkle Freeze Correction Kit $69.95

A while back i posted about my first MD Visage purchase. And since then i have purchase their products many more times.
I must admit i have been slacking a bit in using this product. But around a month ago i really dug in and started testing them. I routinely mixed a pump of the Wrinkle Freeze into my moisturizer day and night. My skin did appear the slightest firmer and felt tighter but i have come to the conclusion that the effect of these products are very temporary.
That being said, i still love these products a lot. There is nothing else on the market that has the firming effect as good as this. It may be temporary but at least it does something for a while. I still haven't used this long enough with full dedication to say it does not work nor do i have wrinkles at my young age to say it doesn't help.
The dual action eye cream which i have now realised is different from the Multi-action eyecream they sell, is lovely and works like the Wrinkle Freeze only less tingly and more thin lotionly if that makes sense at all. I love it as an eyecream and i do feel my skin tighter and my finger sinking lesser into my skin when i use this.

The cleanser is AMAZING, gel like consistency and really cleans well. This is also different from the one they sell individually. The products in these kits are only 'dual action' and the individually sold ones are 'multi-action'. Which makes me wonder as i already love the less stronger products, how will the stronger ones be?!

I have since purchased their Multi-action eyecream and find it a little tingy strong on the eyes. Not too much that i cannot use it. As always with these products, your skin will adapt after a few uses. It is more of a clear gel like texture as opposed to the dual-action.
For a while, MD Visage also had a different larger kit available and at a cheaper price!

RRP $49.95

I found this kit in Target and have not seen this available at Priceline or Myer where MD Visage is also sold. I don't think the toner or cleanser is really anti-aging at all but they still seem like good products and as i have said, nothing else on the market seems to have instant firming effects like this range of products. This brings me to another product.

Infusion RX $79.95

Around 2 weeks ago, Target had a huge beauty sale. And i just happened to pop in right when it started. They had a giant clearance section for $10 and under. Of course this included a lot of junk, and also a lot of gold! The Infusion RX was reduced down to $10?!  I had to get this to try knowing how much it is still selling for in Priceline! (Burwood priceline actually has these on sale for $40 now).

I have 2 wrinkles on my forehead which have been there for years now. They aren't prominent. But some days they seem to be deeper and more creasier than usual. So the other day i tested the infusion RX on so called wrinkles and i did not see a difference. I had watched the commercial on youtube and copied the model by twitching my face to see if the muscles there were frozen. They were not.

Of course i am wary of new products and always am careful to make sure they aren't going to burn my face off before i slap a heap on. And these freezing type of products always seem to scare me a little. However since it was doing nothing for me, i slapped a heap on my sinking-into-face eye bags to see if there was any effect. It did not plump my skin up at all. The skin did feel tighter but i believe this is exactly the same as the MD Visage Wrinkle Freeze. And the way they are marketed and sold i believe they are the exact same company also.
Only the MD Visage is $50 for 50ml, this is $80 for 10ml tube with a 10ml refill. MD Visage wins this one. Also the refill? I have yanked at the tube and there is NO WAY you can take that thing out and refill it. So that makes it a little pointless and i hope someone who knows how to refill it will please let me know.
Overall, if i was 40+, i would love this product. I am very well aware i am not the targeted age group of this product and therefore my skin is not a suitable candidate for these products to have the maximum potential effect on. I have offered my mum to try the Infusion RX but she is reluctant to venture out. Which i think is what most women need to not be afraid of when it comes to beauty. I'm not talking about drastic surgery. Just that the women who aren't exposed to the beauty world tend to shy away from it and it's a shame because it can bring so much joy :)

MD Visage Multi-action Eye Freeze $34.95
and Dual action eye cream

Dior Garden Pastels Eyeshadow Palette

Dior Garden Pastels Eyeshadow Palette $107

Isn't it so pretty? This was available in March as an limited edition from the Dior Garden Party Collection. Every time i see this in store the colours always seem to change. It is buttery soft to touch and oh so pretty.
I have only touched this slightly and am unsure of this palette. I am definitely not a fan of pastels and was very much sucked in by packaging hehe The white and gold shades are to die for, i can't wait to use this in the inner corners of my eyes. The other colours i'm not so sure what i can do with but nonetheless i still love this very much :)

Blush Horizon De Chanel

Blush Horizon De Chanel $90

This blush reminds me of MAC's Pleasantry Mineralize Blush which i've been addicted to as of late. It is that perfect dolly pink. I think it would look great on everyone to give that young girl blushing look and i always feel younger and more fresh when i have this kind of shade on.
The powder is silky smooth with great pigmentation. Included is also a small brush which is super soft and a great size also.
The problem i have with these kinds of palettes is that they're so pretty i must have them. But when i do i'm very reluctant to use them to not ruin their prettiness. Does anyone else have this issue? There have been so many times i have to tell myself life is short and i need to dig in and enjoy! Haha :D

Priceline Beauty is in the Bag

Priceline had their beauty bag gift running last month and i'm sure any beauty addict in Australia snapped this offer up instantly. They seem to do this every year in April. I remember getting the one last year and the year before that. Previous years was spend $50 on selected brands and this year it went up to spending $60.

Here is what you get:

I'm quite embarrassed to say how many sets of these i ended up getting. And it was completely unintentional. There is nothing in the bag that even interests me slightly. However Priceline had a lot of good sales running at the time, which resulted in me with 4 sets of these bags.

I picked up 4 Revlon Lip Butters. I had not really paid attention to the hype of these but the hype must have been pretty big for me to recognise the name without even knowing what they were. They just arrived to Australia and Priceline had buy one get one free on all Revlon lip products. At $21.95 each these are expensive lipbalms. So with the half price deal i was on the hunt. I got the email and was on the search first day it came out. But i did not find them in stores at all. After more searching i finally found them on a separate stand away from the Relvon section. Which makes me want to kick myself for not looking harder because ALL the good colours were sold out.
The shades i managed to get were Candy Apple, Berry Smoothie, Tutti Frutti and Creamsicle.
I didn't get any of the baby pink shades just because they barely have any colour to them. And at that price, they better have good colour or i'm better of with my $3 chapsticks instead.

They are very glossy and reminded me a lot of the Dior Addict High Shine lipsticks which i have in shade 734 and absolutely love! They were not necessarily the softest lipsticks i have ever tried. I recall owning a Stila barbie pink lipstick, the shade name may have been Glenda? It was from their Wicked collection and let me tell u, that was even softer than lipbalm! It was like vaseline in a tube!
I went through the trouble of finding a stock photo of it.
Nothing beats this at being creamy.

Overall they are quite nice and come in 20 shades. I would still use them like a lipstick rather than lipbalm just because i would need to pale out my natural lip colour to get the shades showing.

Next thing i got:

Lots of Nude by Nature goodness. I would love to go completely natural. But it's hard to limit myself in that way.
These Nude by Nature sets seemed to only start getting into stock after the sale ended but they were available at one Priceline i was at. You are required to purchase any Nude by Nature product and THEN you can purchase this set for $49.95 and it is exclusive to Priceline only.
I got a large sized handcream for $12.95 and the set which totaled at just over $60 which qualified for the beauty bag.
Nude by Nature also had, purchase 2 products and get 25% off. I've been eyeing the Oil-free Moisturizing Lotion for a while. It contains salicylic acid and witch hazel, both of which i know are excellent for acne prone skin or for me when my skin breaks out during that time of the month.
I'm also obsessed with exfoliators which is why i got the exfoliating scrub. It contains crushed walnut shells so it would be the very 'scratchy' type of exfoliator which is just the type i love.

Nature’s Oil-Free Lotion 125ml $29.95

Nature’s Exfoliating Scrub 150ml $17.95

I've read really good reviews about the Nude Oil as well but i passed on it this time and shall keep it on my list.
Just before the sales were ending, i also picked up two of the Nude by Nature brush kits.

I've been having lots of difficulty with my current brushes shedding like mad and leaving hairs of over my face. And it is not fun when there's a very fine hair in your eyeball and you can feel it in there but can't see it enough to get it out! It has been frustrating me for a while now so i decided it was time for new brushes. And i must say i am in love with the Nude ones.

The handles look and feel of excellent quality and the bristles... are soft like clouds... i can't even feel the bristles when using this. It feels like i'm rubbing a cotton ball on my skin instead! Not only that, it comes with generous sized brushes. Only too many times have i seen brush kits with ONE bigger sized brush and the rest are brow, liner, miniature brushes. This set contains 2 large head brushes and the eyeshadow brushes vary in design. I love that i have one for foundation, one for blush, one for eyeshadow, one for brows and one for liner. There's one for every step i need and if i was limited to only this brush set, i would get by very nicely. It also comes with a sharpener :)

8 piece brush kit - $29.95

The 8 piece brush kit includes:
- Complexion perfecting Kabuki Base Brush

- Cheek Defining Blush Brush
- Deluxe Eye Shade Brush
- Domed Eye Blending Brush
- Ultimate Cover Concealer Brush
- Dual Headed Precision Eye Definer and Lip Brush
- Eye-liner pencil Sharpener

And finally, what was inside my free beauty bag?

The things that varied were the Rimmel nail polish, the Revlon lip product, Innoxa lipstick shades, Priceline wipes and savvy eyeliner.

1/4 of the Revlon and Innoxa lipsticks i would say are wearable shades for me and the nail polishes were all in the same colour. The Savvy eyeliners i already have and love.
I'm a little disappointed that i got 3 Relvon lipsticks in Very red and 3 Innoxa lipsticks in horrid browny red colours. No doubt i will be giving most of these freebies away.

However, the Max Factor mascaras are great. The Natio powders all happen to be shades i can use. I'm very excited about the Nude by Nature Soft Focus illuminator and the other bits and pieces like tweezers and loofahs i can never have enough of.

Oh i forgot to mention, these bags contained a $10 off any covergirl product voucher. They do have an expiry date so i decided to just use them up straight away.

Covergirl Natureluxe Lip Balm $12.95

I ended up getting 4 of these at $2.95 each. I like how they have SPF in them and they're very soft as well. Some of the shades weren't as pigmented so the ones i chose were spice, grenache, and sandstone x2. Spice looks like a dark brown red but because it's a gloss it goes on like an orangey colour. Grenache and Sandstone are natural mauvey light pinks and i think very wearable. They remind me of the Revlon lipbutters but softer, and with the bonus of SPF.

So that was my Priceline hauling for the month of April and i had hoped to cut back and stay away from the store but it's still only early May and i haven't been doing very well on that hehe

Revlon Gift Time Myer

Revlon is having gift time again at Myer! This is the best time to buy the products you've been wanting to try or to stock up on the usual and get bonus products to try out.

I believe this promotion started last week. Spend $39.95 on Revlon and receive a 6 piece gift set.
You get the option to choose between the pink or purple gift set.
The variation appears to be in the lip butter colour choice, the eyeshadow palette and the eyeliner/lipliner.

I chose the pink set which came with the luscious growth eyeliner which i really want to try after swatching the tester. Are these as good as my beloved prestige total intensity? I think they might be pretty close, or almost the same. However reviews do show a lot of people have allergic reactions so i will be wary when using.

For the products i had to buy to get the gift, i was planning on getting 2 eyeliners. I didn't want to buy anything i didn't need. And black eyeliners are something i will always need and use up. However i ended up getting 2 concealers instead only because the gift already came with the eyeliner. And i didn't want to risk having 3 of them and being allergic.

The concealer i got is the Revlon Photo Ready in shade 002 Light Pale. I like that it is yellow toned and smooth, not cakey at all like other cream stick concealers. I was tempted to get the Age Defying concealer since it felt very nice watery and seemed to have a strong coverage. However i am still very much disappointed with my YSL touche eclat and the Rimmel one because i know how less product there is inside. Around 1g? I opted for this concealer instead which is 3.2g.

PhotoReady Concealer 002 Light Pale $24.99

The promotion runs for another 2 weeks or so but the lady said they'll probably run out by next week so get in there quick if you want this!

Heads up to all aussie beauty addicts. If you're a Priceline member you should have received their newest catalogue by email today and:

Starting from 10th of May, they will have another Beauty Bag on offer except this time it is on Hair care products rather than make up. Spend $40 or more on the participating brands and get this giant bag of hair care freebies. I'm not too into hair maintenance myself as my hair has always been naturally tamable however the constantly undecided weather here has made my hair dull and flat. I just might pick this up if i happen to find something i'm interested in. I've always been curious of the Alchemy range i've seen at my local health store since it's on the pricier side and also the dry shampoos look tempting to try as well.

As usual with the gift bags, there's mostly only 1-2 products i want in there to make it worth while. I've got a heap load of stuff i'm not very into sitting around from the recent Beauty bag priceline had running. maybe i shall do a post on that too. The one from last year i found to be much better but it's free so if you're getting stuff either way go for it but if not then it's not something you MUST get :)

Project Pan?

I'm sure we've all heard of Project Pan here and there. And after the past few weeks of extreme EXTREME spending, i need to mentally shut down my bank accounts and distract myself from shiny new things. So i've decided to start a Project Pan. Not to completely cut myself off from spending because i'm a hoarder and if i find something great on sale i can't stop myself. But this is more to pull out things i have and focus on using them. I still have a stash of around 20 mac lipglosses all brand new and in different shades which have not been touched. I've been meaning to (for 2 years) but maybe if i attempted a new colour each week i can actually start enjoying my splurges. This will help me use things up and actually try the things i've bought! So i will be doing lots of reviews hopefully :D Also i shall be posting about lots of new products i've purchased lately with photos! I need to put more effort into that and also awesome promotions happening all over the place because those get me most excited. This is an excellent way for me to stop my spending but still indulge in products :D I have so much new things i can't wait to ramble on and on about them hehe
