MD Visage Dual Action Wrinkle Freeze Review

Not long ago i was in the Myer beauty section doing some shopping and browsing through skincare and noticed the MD Visage Dual Action Wrinkle Freeze cream.
I recall seeing those Freeze Frame informercials and tested this on the back of my hand. In less than a minute the skin felt tighter and firmer. of course i wasn't sure if i was just paranoid because the back of my hand isn't that fleshy enough to make it easy to tell.
I decided to test it under my eyes to see if this was the solution to my horrible genetic sagging eyebags. Ontop of make up it went on pastey and ruined my foundation so i wasn't sure about this product. It was $52 for a small 50ml tube so it is a bit steep.
I went home and did my online research and couldn't find much about this product at all besides some comments complaining about the company being dodgy. Many of those 'miracle products' do tend to come from companies with poor almost non-existant customer service so it didn't worry me too much. I was getting it in store as opposed to people ordering directly from the company and my main concern was the product.
Online i found better deals and saw a 4 piece kit on a pharmacy website for $69.95. This included the wrinkle freeze cream 50ml, eye cream 10ml, cleanser 125ml and handcream 50ml. This was a much better deal and was ready to purchase this on the spot but decided to sleep on it.
The next day i was doing some shopping and while picking up some things in the Target beauty section, as i was about to leave i noticed the big red sale sign saying 30% off a list of brands, and when i read MD Visage i panicked! I frantically searched for the brand and found it. And to my surprise they also had the limited edition pack! I was over the moon. I was smiling so big the sales girl was staring at me like i was weird.
I price checked them and they came down to just over $45 a pack. Needless to say i bought 2 of them. I had also gone back a few days later to pick them up for my sisters who were curious to try after my many ravings and excited ramblings on the product. The sales woman who managers the beauty section also included the bonus hand creams and i told her how i got these last time and the younger girl didn't know to give them to me. She was nice enough to say i could bring the receipt next time and get the bonus creams so that is what i did the next day. Except that day she said i could pick from the bonus hand cream or eye cream. I picked 2 sensitive eye creams mainly because their value would be a lot more and opted for one hand cream since it is a lot more product and i'm sure i can rub some of that goodness on my neck if i wanted to.
I also decided to pick up their toner to try and many other beauty items. With such a large purchase the lady was really kind and said the Nude brand was also doing a GWP eye cream and gave me one to try. I bought everything on sale at a good price and still got bonuses so it was definitely a awesome purchase.

Now to review the product :)
I have been using this quite often. I have to admit not constantly because although i love and buy many beauty products, i am a lazy user. Every morning after i wash my face i sit down and slap all the steps on. After i shower i also do the same. But with those extra steps before you sleep, serums, eye creams, night creams... it's easy to forget.
But from the many times i have used it, i must say i really do enjoy it.
I have to make sure to not use a thick layer as it will go pastey and little does spread out nicely. It leaves a bit of a sheen. It makes my face seem brighter, i'm not sure if it is because of a tiny white cast but it isn't noticeable. I have tried putting this on my jaw line and i really do feel it firming the skin! I felt slight pulling when i moved my mouth so it works for sure. The effect does fade though when the cream is gone and for results it is something you would need to be dedicated to using constantly. I am a firm believer that if i used this and constantly firm my skin, my skin will learn to stay up and hold itself better rather than sagging and drooping downwards.
I have very bad sinking under my eyes and i would not say i have used this long enough to see improvement but even if this can't save the current state of sagging, i will still try my best to prevent it going any further. My mother's eyebags really take a toll on her appearance and i fear that happening to me.
I recommend this for anyone with sagging and needs to tighten up their skin. It does seem like my skin looks dry and rougher with this cream on so i would also say to moisturise to keep the skin surface smooth. It is also a really good prevention cream and gravity is constantly pulling on our face so this is a good way to counteract that. Below are some photos to show what the actual cream looks like and the second photos shows the white cast it creates, somehow i feel the hand with the cream on also looks thinner? lol it could just be the lighting though. Overall i think this product is great for instant short term results. I like to wear this constantly a few days before i have a special occasion to make sure my skin is going to look amazing on the day :)

White and creamy, more of a runny consistency.

Left hand with Wrinkle Freeze on and right hand without.

  1. Spotted the Dual action Wrinkle Freeze Sensitone (sensitive skin) and Original on sale at David Jones at Sydney CBD for $24-27. There's the cleanser, toner and eye cream also on sale but there wasn't much stock left so if you're wanting to try this out definitely check them out since it's over half price there!

  2. When it came up on special I got one for myself and I gave one to my mother, we have both had trouble with it. As soon as it touches the skin on my face it burns and not just a little bit, it actually stings like little needles, when I washed it off it still burned for a while until I put some other brand of moisturiser on to cool it down.
My mother had exactly the same result as did a friend of mine, so far anyone I know that has tried it has literally been burnt by it. None of us have sensitive skin so there are no excuses, I think it must contain some nasty stuff and would recommend to everyone not to use this product.

    1. It's supposed to tingle, that's the plumping effect apparently. I use it religiously. I'm addicted to the tingle now

  3. It does sting a little. I don't suggest using it on bare skin because it's so thick. I always moisturize first then apply this on top. And i never use it all over my face and i don't rub it in. I just put a layer under my eyes and up my cheekbones and forehead. Sometimes on my jawline too. Like most strong skincare i've used, it always has a tingling sensation at first but after a few uses, your skin will adapt to it. Of course if it's to the point where your skin is red and you can't handle the feeling then take it off. For me personally, when i feel the tingling, i feel the tightening too so i know it's working. This is a temporary tightening process from experience. I don't suggest rubbing it into your skin like skincare.
You can always mix some into your moisturizer and see how you go :) I did this for a while but not long enough to notice results.
